Wedding of Renita & YauHong: Lights and Romance at Alkaff Mansion

Renita and YauHong’s wedding has got to one of our intimate yet fun wedding Spellbound had done. YauHong, I recalled always have things up his sleeves. His cheeky antics saw him appearing with a Lion Dance troupe (his groomsmen) during the wedding gatecrashing, catching everyone by surprise (even the planners since we were kept in the dark as well)

Prior to their wedding, Spellbound had the opportunity to help Renita and YauHong realise their wedding card and invitation suite. The card featured symbolic Japanese waves motifs in Navy Blue, setting the tone for the wedding. Joey from Delights Heaven also assisted to create a 3-tier cake with motifs derived from their wedding cards.

The lovely couple held their solemnization on Alkaff Mansion. Renita and YauHong love their Japanese food and culture and wanted elements of it in their wedding décor. We folded Blue paper Origami crane and hung them at the gazebo of Alkaff, painted paper umbrellas and used them as Bride and Groom signages, and had colourful paper umbrella along the aisle chairs.

The wedding reception was held within Alkaff Mansion, and Spellbound had floral arrangements made in Ikenana style. Guests were invited to the Gazebo, which was beautifully lit up at night for their cake-cutting ceremony and speeches. We injected some element of fun by placing Cootie Catcher on Guests’ table so that they can learn more about the couple.
