Wedding of Paul & Charissa: Profound joy

Tears are words that the heart can’t express.

Despite the passing of time, Paul and Clar’s wedding still remains vividly in my mind, and have made known a fact to me: Tears become the most obvious and tangible representation of the profound emotions experienced when no words can express. I guess it is experiences like these that drive and keep people like us (wedding planners, vendors, hotels etc) going and improving!

Held in Burkill Hall, Paul and Charissa took a rustic approach to their wedding décor. Apart from the rustic twigs arch as their wedding altar, benches were used as the pew chairs.

Cloth flags and Pink Paper pomanders were hung in the dining area while Guests’ tables had Pink Hydrangeas and Baby Breaths in Mason jars as the floral centerpiece, topped with a flag and a love quote printed on it. Wedding favours came in little burlap bags (flown in by Charissa!), with childhood treats in it!

The childhood candy bar evoked a great sense of nostalgia as snacks like Pola Biscuits, Yami Burger sweets, Cotton candy and bottled Coca Cola were served! Live stations serving Muah chee, Kachang Puteh and Dragon beard Candy floss were sighted, old school ice cream etc!

When night fell the fairylights overhead shone brightly in the night, welcoming the bride and groom into their married-life. The band serenaded the guests with from the lawn, putting up a great performance for everyone! The atmosphere was warm and right, and it was such a delightful sight to see everyone dancing in the moonlight!
