Valerie & Vijay: A Green and White ROM
(This is Part ½ of Valerie and Vijay’s wedding)
Valerie and Vijay had two separate days of celebration- Registry of Marriage and the wedding reception, each of these worthy of a different style, carefully thought and planned to complement the venue and the setting of the environment.
The ROM was held in Customs House, a former building of the Singapore Customs Police in the 1960s while dinner was served at Procacci! As it was the F1 season then, apart from being greeted with a stunningly waterfront view, guests were able to hear the zooming of racer cars every now and then! Such a delightful experience for the senses!
Going back to the design concept for Val and VJ:
On first look, Customs House may appear hard and dull visually due to the vast amount of concrete, but with observations, there are many areas where magic can take place!
The Spellbound Team dolled up the venue with hanging Wisterias and fairy light, adding hues of White and Green to the grey surfaces. Flowers such as Matthiola, Anemones, Ivy and Olive Leaves were used to accentuate the Greens within the venue.
As night fell, the fairy lights sparkles in the dark, creating a romantic setting for the eating and dancing!
