Justin & Li Qing: An ethereal affair

Let’s start off this new blog with a wonderful wedding we did for Justin and LiQing in 2015!

The brief to Justin and Li Qing’s wedding was clear; they wanted a wedding which was out of the norm. Justin had attended numerous weddings and had seen weddings of all sorts, thus he wanted one wedding which was unique and can call his own. LiQing, on the other hand, loves fairy lights and settled for Dusty Blue for her colour theme. With these perimeters set, the Spellbound Team started embarked on their design exploration!

Visualisation of the ballroom

3D mapping has always been a fascinating one as it has the ability to turn a 2D space into a 3D space. This idea of a virtual reality space excited Justin and he was very keen with it! What happened after was months of rigourous planning and discussion of the storyline and design. Justin and LiQing are avid travellers and love the natural landscapes of New Zealand and wanted it to be presented to their guests! Apart from this, guests were treated to a plethora of scenes such as fireworks, shooting stars, etc

Capella’s ballroom was adorned with fairylights, including the aisle which the couple marched in on and the edge of the iconic curved stage! Lining the aisle were stands of flowers filled with Dusty Blue and White hydrangeas, Roses, Eustomas and Matthiola. The overall look of the ballroom was such a sight to behold!

Justin and LiQing also entrusted us with the design of their monogram, Save-the-date cards and Photobooth backdrop.

Papypress was engaged by Justin and LiQing to design their wedding stationary suite.
